SUMMARY OF WHAT THIS ORGANIZATION AIMS TO ACCOMPLISH: Big Ocean Women gather, inform, and train an interfaith global sisterhood. They use devotion to faith, family, and motherhood to empower women to re-frame the challenges facing the human family and create positive, generative solutions. They call this philosophy maternal feminism. Big Ocean trains volunteers to lead local “cottages” (small groups), where the members learn about and study the Big Ocean philosophy, find ways to serve in their community, and organize around important political causes.
